This Privacy Policy describes how BlogConnect: Reply & Manage Comments ("the App") collects, uses, and stores personal information when installed or used by a Shopify merchant. This policy also explains how customer information is handled when visitors submit comments or replies through the App.
When a customer submits a comment or reply on a merchant’s blog post, the App collects the following information:
No additional customer data is collected. The App does not track browsing behavior, order history, or any non-comment related activity.

All customer data is stored securely inside Shopify using app-owned Metaobjects. This means:
Merchants are responsible for ensuring compliance with local laws related to customer data collection. Because the App collects name and email for comment functionality, merchants should ensure they have lawful grounds for collecting this data from their customers.
If a customer requests to have their name or email removed from the merchant’s store, the merchant may delete the associated comment metaobject from Shopify Admin. Since the App stores no data externally, deletion within Shopify fully removes it.
Because all customer data remains inside Shopify’s infrastructure, it benefits from Shopify’s industry-standard security, hosting, and data protection practices. The App does not introduce external storage risks.
The App may update this Privacy Policy as needed to reflect changes in Shopify’s requirements or App functionality. Continued use of the App after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
